I found this quote on Pinterest some time ago and stashed it away on one of my boards, knowing that it would come in handy, and that day would reveal itself when I least expected it.
40 years ago none of these lines would have made any sense.
30 years ago I could have sworn that none of them were possible in a perfect world, let alone the real world.
20 years ago I found out that the lines about love and listening made me a prisoner.
10 years ago I learned that speaking without offending is almost impossible, especially when you want to be true to yourself and still do good unto others.
5 years ago I took pretending out of the living equation.
Today, I live by each and every line.
