Please listen to the song before proceeding…
Fridays have become sacred to me ever since I reduced my working hours at the office. Sleeping in an hour longer and having a slow start, leisurely breakfast, and then just writing away. Internet radio has become part of my lifestyle, and on weekends, I start the day with jazz.
This morning, while chilling on the sofa with the cats, there was a song that came on Radio Swiss Jazz that caught my attention and the lyrics spoke to me on so many levels. I didn’t catch the name of the artist, and when I went online to look for him, there were no hits. The website of RSJ had moved on with the programming, listing only the last three songs played, and the one I was looking for was no longer on the current playlist. Next best thing to do was to write RSJ directly and ask for the information, providing them with the timeframe in question. It didn’t take long for them to reply and so here is my new anthem! Absolutely love it!
Thank You very much to the Radio Swiss Jazz Team!

The music of Richard Morgan was a revelation, and I truly regret not discovering it earlier. The lyrics of the songs are entertaining on the surface, the music superb, but if you listen carefully, there is a deeper layer to everything. For someone who just went through a massive depressive phase like I did, and is still struggling to get up on most days, or to even make it through the day without falling apart, One Of Those Days hit the bullseye. If you have the time, check out the rest of The Less You Do album. It is worth the time.
