Fireworks at 28

My Dearest Maike,

This March, as we step into Empowerment Month and celebrate International Women’s Day, I am reminded more than ever of the incredible woman you have become. You have grown into someone who gives so generously to the world, yet continues to honor the importance of nurturing and valuing yourself. Watching you embrace both strength and grace fills me with endless pride.

This year, we are blessed beyond measure to celebrate your birthday together in Valencia during the Fallas. The city is ablaze with fireworks that dance across the night sky, bursting brilliantly before they fade, much like the transformations we experience in life. Each spark reminds me of your journey: the bold leaps, the quiet victories, and the moments of pure, radiant growth. Fire has always been a symbol of renewal, and just like the flames, you have the power to illuminate, transform, and rise anew.

The Year of the Fire Horse adds a special layer of meaning to this celebration. Courage, passion, and a fearless spirit are yours to claim this year. It is a year to chase dreams with unrestrained heart, to stand tall in your truth, and to trust that your own fire will guide you to extraordinary places. You have always had that fire within you, and now the universe is echoing it back.

I am humbled and overjoyed to witness your metamorphosis Each step, each choice, each act of generosity and strength makes my heart swell. I hope this year, you allow yourself the same love, patience, and pride that you so freely give to others. In this special month honouring women, remember that your light, your voice, and your courage are part of a greater celebration of all women who dare to grow and give.

So, here’s to you, my daughter, my pride, my joy. To fireworks that light up our nights, to transformations that light up our souls, and to the unstoppable, magnificent woman you continue to become.

Happy 28th Birthday!
Forever and always,
Mommy
